Clown

  • seeing: the unconscious is advising the dreamer not to take the world and relations in it seriously, to find a playfulness that is typical of clowns.
  • a person dressed like a clown leaves the serious world in order to find, in a parody of the world, of false morality and of relationships in it, and despite often being hurt and having his friends oppose him, happiness in the unity of his own inner world.
  • in the higher sense, compassion for the mad world and knowledge in perfect indifference are concealed behind the clown's mask and makeup.
