Cone

  • the circular base of the upper part of the cone symbolizes unity and the lower part, where the walls of the cone come to a single point, symbolizes a narrowly focused mind in which objects and creatures (shapes and names) disappear, so that in identifying with the point a person finds the essence of emptiness; this image is often accompanied by a vanishing whirl of water that shows the dreamer the path to understanding cosmic emptiness just as he leaves the emotional experience – the vanishing water (see Attentiveness archetype).
