- one of the strongest symbols of the emotional level since the dreamer (and many of his personifications) rids himself of instinctual thinking in the cleansing lido; bathing and the "fire" of the sun during clear weather bear the power of miraculous moral cleansing.
- lido by a forest: a transformation of part of the instinctual contents (forest) of the mind into emotions (water) with the possibility of significant emotional cleansing.
- the dreamer is prevented entrance to a lido: this image represents the dreamer's unpreparedness for extensive moral purification; the unconscious usually shows the dreamer in the same dream why moral purification is still not possible.
