The Dream Book of Self-Knowledge

Frozen

  • frozen is one of the principles of the spiritual level, which is why right before the unification of emotional anima and emotional animus children stuff themselves full of frozen ice cream cake (see Coniunctio archetype).
  • a frozen person, frozen corpse: shows the definitive end of instinctual inclinations and dependencies (the frozen person to whom traits were linked is abandoned by the dreamer); sometimes a frozen person can symbolize temporarily deadened feelings.
  • frozen mushrooms: the spiritual content of the consciousness (frost) eliminates the vitality of sexuality depicted by the symbol of the mushroom.
  • frozen land: has the same meaning as (see) Antarctica.
  • frozen animal: even a momentary ascension of the consciousness to the spiritual level manages to uproot from a person's mind the instinctual traits linked to the animal and, in the relaxed feeling of enlightenment, to recognize the path to knowledge.
  • frozen father, frozen mother, frozen child: see Frost.
  • other similar symbols: see Ice, see Snow, see Frost.
