Hiding

  • hiding clearly delays a successful resolution of a conflict on the subconscious level.
  • a person hiding in the bushes: clearly an instinctual personification (instinctual animus or instinctual anima) that symbolizes fear of the world or expresses a fear of revealing negative intentions.
  • during hostilities: the symbol of the fight is most important for the interpretation – see Fight, battlefield, fighting.
  • in wood, behind wood, behind paper, in paper: a completely normal approach of a person who considers everything instinctual to be normal.
  • in the grass: an attempt to hide the instinctual focus of one's thoughts, usually from spiritual personifications.
  • in a treetop: the dreamer's subconscious return to the prenatal state of undisturbed development in the mother's body (see Basic Perinatal Matrix archetype).
  • in pigskin: the attempt to hide from our own ignorance and to use this ignorance to excuse our moral transgressions.
  • in enclosed or narrow spaces, in rooms with water, behind doors etc: this image belongs to birth recollections and therefore is frequently part of the Basic Perinatal Matrix archetype.
  • from pursuers: see Pursuing.
  • in a church: the dreamer is fleeing the instinctual life for emotional and spiritual images, but will someday have to return to and face his instinctual thoughts.
  • stop hiding: a positive image that confirms the dreamer's attempt to face unpleasant inner images; a person living on the spiritual level (sometimes even on the emotional level) must not hide himself from others or from himself.
  • beneath the water's surface from a threat but only without technical means – submarine, bathyscaphe, pressure suits) and is able to breathe here while feeling safe: confirms that the dreamer's consciousness is strongly set on the emotional level of experience.
  • hidden objects in pockets: this image tells us how carefully hidden our desires and egotistical wishes are.
  • hiding something under a pillow: represents the attempt to hide real individuality, real traits or status under the veil of personality.
  • hiding proof: the dreamer's attempt to remain in a relatively peaceful environment backed by lies and twisted words hinders the process of coming to terms with one's past negative actions.
  • traits: this images represents the attempt to hide our real individuality behind the veil of personality.
