The Dream Book of Self-Knowledge

Fame

  • a bonus by which the dreamer's personality becomes more desirable in earthly life.
  • wanting to be famous, identifying with someone famous: even though such behavior is common in our society, the unconscious considers such a desire to be a serious crisis since the masks of others are dearer to the dreamer than the state of his own being; once such a dream or one that is similar appears to the dreamer, I recommend reading the Treasure archetype, in which the causes of the crisis are described, but also the way a person can extricate himself from the snares of splendent personality masks.
  • seeing someone refusing fame: a good model to follow; the chance to free oneself from the ego.
  • the dreamer refuses fame: important liberation from the ego, time recently devoted to the futile construction of the personality can now be used to the benefit of the whole.
