symbolizes an acceleration of the life journey; if we are driving it alone, we have our own affairs well in hand; if someone else is driving, we are at the mercy of events, people or our traits (dependencies).
driver and everything about driving a car: see Driving or Driver
new: for a new road with new ideas
cleaning, washing: the dreamer's attempt to cleanse his mind of unsound thoughts for an easier and more pleasant life journey.
car pulling into a garage: direct representation of the dreamer's sexual intercourse or sexual relations; see Garage.
car lock or key: in addition to a less frequent sexual meaning it is more informative in meaning, i.e. whether the dreamer is or is not able to continue down the path of self-improvement.
window wipers: when it is raining they remove excessive emotion from the dreamer's view; of much more importance is the symbol of rain – see Rain.
locking: distancing oneself from a further journey, from an attempt at self-improvement.
hazard lights on a car: usually belong to the ego and a desire to be visible.
hitchhiking: the dreamer's attempt to accelerate his own life journey, despite not having the necessary mindset and his affairs well in hand.
nausea when riding in a car: spiritual progress or the self-improvement process is too fast and the dreamer is losing control; the unconscious is trying to have the dreamer retake control of the process.
backing up: some experiences from the past need to be remembered.
reckless driving: the need to rid oneself of ingrained views of one's surroundings; e.g. in a dream the unconscious shows an idealized person to be irresponsible so that the dreamer sets out on his own path.
car accident of the dreamer: a serious and long crisis is coming.
seeing a car accident: a dangerous crisis, the need to review one's decisions and progress, since this is the only way the dreamer can avoid grave problems in the future.
car wreck: warning of a possible accident in the waking consciousness or can symbolize one of the dreamer's futile and unrealized hopes.
driven by children: positive development and its proper direction towards unity.
buying or newly owning: beware of pride.
broken down: one of the future paths will be a complete waste of time.
getting out of a car: partial fulfillment of a task and time for a short break.
selling: you will find humility.
car changes into an armchair: instead of forward progress the dreamer is faced with one of his dependencies or illnesses.
car changes into a baby carriage with a child: positive, since to move forward the dreamer further takes on a symbol of unifying antitheses.
car changes into a scooter: a slowing down of the life journey, which may not be as negative as it first seems since the dreamer has a unique chance to realize his initial baby steps toward sexual dependency and recognize the recklessness of the consciousness, unaffected by the stream of sexual desire.
