*31 Shapeless emptiness is, according to Buddhist law, the absolute reality lying outside the material world in a void of form (shape) and time. Both aspects, i.e. the Buddhist Absolute (formless void and timelessness) and materialistic reality of the material world inherently affect human existence. The materialistic reality can be experienced in waking consciousness (in unwoken consciousness) and the Buddhist absolute can be touched on the spiritual path, in meditation and in dream visions.
