*53 The Categorical imperative formulates a universally binding moral law by which moral authority is not dictated from the outside world, but comes from within a person. A person should act according to principles that he expects from others; should act according to principles that could become a natural law and should act so that the humanity of himself and of others is always the purpose and not a means for the person acting.
