*85 A Maternal Goddess

*85 A Maternal Goddess was long missing from Christianity. The Catholic Church originally ruled out a female element from the Holy Trinity in considering it heretical and thus the female element of the Holy Trinity was only passed down by the gnostics who assigned a female and maternal aspect to the Holy Spirit. It was only during the past two centuries that the long missing element of a maternal goddess was definitively completed with the Virgin Mary under the pressure of devout Christians.
